It’s nice living where other people vacation. In an effort to make my way around the best resorts and spas in South Florida, I had to staycation at the Eau Palm Beach Resort and Spa in Manalapan, Florida.
This destination is located a little further south than the hustle and bustle of Worth Avenue, but with a Publix shopping center right across the street on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other side, it’s a super convenient and beautiful location.
Stay With me at the Eau Palm Beach Resort and Spa in Manalapan, Florida
Even though we just stayed for one night, we did a lot. But let’s start with the basics.
The Room
I wasn’t expecting the stylish guest rooms to be so fun, bright, and vibrant. Coming from the elegant lobby decorated in neutral tones with crystal chandeliers, this was a pleasant surprise.
Some of my room favorites include:
- the fun egg chair on the balcony (yes, private balconies are a must for breathtaking ocean views)
- the giant bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and double sinks (spacious accommodations and relaxed elegance at the same time)
- the amazing bellman named John who showed us to our room and gave us great tips on what to do during our stay

The Food
When you’re staying here, you have four different restaurants to choose from. You can enjoy the food and drinks served in the dining, outside by the pool and ocean, and even in your room if you call room service. We kept things casual and ate outside by the pool or on the patio.
If you didn’t know, I love pizza and I can honestly say that the pizza I had at the Eau was some of the best pizza I ever had. No joke. Whether it’s a burger and fries (also delicious) by the pool or lemonade for the kids, there is something for everyone here.

The Beach
Living in South Florida, I’m not wowed by the beach. I think it’s because I can go anytime, it’s not really a big deal for me.
But it’s not lost on me that this is the main attraction for any hotel on the beach. Staying at an intimate ocean retreat with elements of sun across acres of the Atlantic coast is the driving factor to stay at a place like the Eau Resort and Spa in Palm Beach.
For me, the beach makes for great family photos… and because I’m the family photographer, of course, I’m hardly in any. Uh. These are some pictures I took Sunday morning when we walked just a few minutes to a nearby restaurant for breakfast.
The Pool
This was our hangout spot. Because we travel with little ones, we stayed away from the adult pool and hung out in the big family pool in the center of the property right off the lobby. Telling you the kids loved it is an understatement.
Besides family pool fun in the warm Florida sunshine, there are lounge chairs with towels to lay on while you read a book or enjoy some food and drinks. Just laying here is zen for me.
The Fun
Oh yes, there’s more. I wrapped all the weekend fun into a :30 Instagram reel you can watch here, but not everything made it in… because some things were top secret.

One of those top-secret things that was so fun was…
The Escape Room
This was honestly such a fun experience. Our family tried to solve a murder mystery together.
We had an hour to do it. Spoiler alert: We did not do it, but we guessed correctly at the end after narrowing down the suspects. While this event happens in the kid’s club, it’s super hard for kids. Hell, it’s not easy for adults… but it’s a lot of fun.

The Kid’s Club, Aquanuts
If you ask my kids what their favorite part of our staycation was, they’ll tell you it was spending time in Aquanuts. Between the rock climbing wall, movies, and art, they loved their time here and spent a few hours in here each day.
While this gave Colin and I little kid break on our staycation, we still had the little guy to take care of. Aquanuts is available for kids ages 5-12 years old.

The Spa
Full disclosure: I did NOT go to the spa during my staycation. I know, I know. The person who is obsessed with self-care skipped this. Trust me, I will be back because I’ve heard such amazing things.
This is a Forbes five-star spa, it’s 42,000 square feet, and I’m sure is everything dreams are made of. Hence, why I will be back (by myself).
