Because I just welcomed December in West Palm Beach with their giant sand tree, Sandi, it’s only right that I share the town I live in some holiday love. For things to do, places to take the kids, and fun to have, check out all of these events in Wellington, Florida to add to your calendar this holiday season.
1. Holiday Cultural Celebration
- Thursday, December 1st, 2022
- 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Wellington Town Center Promenade
Attendees are invited to celebrate Wellington’s ethnic diversity and culture with a holiday tree lighting at 6:15 PM, along with food trucks, live performances, vendors, and book readings.
2. Wellington Food Truck & Music Series
Food Trucks
- Saturday, December 3rd, 2022
- 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Village Park, 11700 Pierson Road
- Food trucks will be located in the parking lot area between Fields 2 and 5.
Boston Tribute

- The sound stage will be located directly behind the Village Park Gymnasium adjacent to Field 2.
Enjoy food trucks and live music at Village Park. Sample an array of foods and desserts from approximately 15 trucks in attendance accompanied by local bands and artists performing on the sound stage.

Guests should bring their own blankets or chairs for seating. Also, dogs and pets are not allowed in Village Park (with the exception of service animals).
3. Winterfest 2022

Hosted by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce and The Village of Wellington, the event features headline performer “Vanilla Ice” in addition to live music and dance performances, exhibitors, retail and holiday shopping, food vendors, kids’ activities, and more.
4. 32nd Annual Children’s Holiday Fishing Classic
- Saturday, December 10th, 2022
- Village Park, 11700 Pierson Road
Grab your fishing tackle and get ready to reel in “the big one” at the 32nd Annual Children’s Holiday Fishing Classic. This is open to all local children ages 15 and younger. The event is free to participate in, but registration is required here.
5. Holiday Boat Parade
- Saturday, December 10th, 2022
- 6:30 PM
- Visible from the Town Center Promenade
Come watch as local residents and boating enthusiasts “Light up the Lake” with a Holiday Boat Parade on Lake Wellington.
6. 38th Annual Wellington Holiday Parade
- Sunday, December 11th
- The parade begins at 1:30 PM
The Annual Wellington Holiday Parade, hosted by the Village of Wellington and the Central Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce, winds its way down Forest Hill Boulevard, from Wellington Trace to Ken Adams Way. This year’s theme is “Favorite Holiday Destination”.
7. Senior Holiday Party
- Tuesday, December 13th
- 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
- Wellington Community Center
Lunch will be provided along with holiday-themed decorations, entertainment, and activities for residents ages 50 and up.
8. Wellington Food Truck & Music Series

9. Annual Wellington Holiday Jingle Bell Run 5K
- Sunday, December 18th
- The race begins at 7:00 AM
- Village Park, 11700 Pierson Road
Participants are encouraged to bring out an unwrapped toy to be donated to families in the Village of Wellington community as part of the annual Hometown Holiday Toy Drive. All participants will be provided with jingle bells to wear prior to the start of the race.
10. Lakeside Market at Wellington Town Center
- Every Friday night
- 5 PM to 9 PM
- on the Town Center Promenade
Enjoy a casual, laid-back, family-friendly environment with food, shopping, entertainment, and stellar sunsets. The Lakeside Market is your place to unwind, socialize, and enjoy an early start to your weekend.
