If you like to eat and drink, you may want to pencil in the Taste of the Caribbean’s Taste of the Islands Culinary Show in Miami. It’s a foodie’s dream come true!
The Caribbean is coming to Miami with all its spice, heat, and flare. It’s the place to learn all about Caribbean cuisine, taste it, and take a virtual trip to the islands.
And you can’t have all this food in one place without a little competition, right? Over 10 teams from the Caribbean will throw their culinary hats into the ring to compete for the honor of becoming the best chef, culinary team, bartender, and pastry chef in the Caribbean. Each participating team represents a Caribbean island. Each team is composed of two senior chefs, one junior chef, one bartender, one pastry chef and one manager. The participating team members represent hotels, restaurants, or educational institutions in the Caribbean. Puerto Rico was pretty excited about Jonathan Hernandez winning Caribbean Chef of the Year in 2015. (Go Puerto Rico!)
