If you’re looking for something fun to do with your family in Fort Lauderdale or an exciting way to tour the city by boat, I suggest Bluefoot Pirate Adventures.
For an hour and a half, kids really feel like they are on a pirate’s adventure in Fort Lauderdale. From the costume, to the captain, and even a pirate battle with water cannons. Yes, the kids must protect their parents from a “bad pirate” who tries to to overtake the pirate ship. (Parents, be warned – he has a water gun and will shoot you!)
While the kids are entertained, the parents get their own tour around Fort Lauderdale’s intercoastal waterways with sights and stories of the buildings, houses, and yachts.
My little pirate had a blast! She got a pirate tattoo, bandana, eye patch, sword, and wore a pirate vest. The captain and his first mate were great – in character the entire time and really entertained the kids. Then, came Barnacle Bill (the “bad pirate”) to take down our ship and steal our treasure. Thank goodness the little pirates were equipped with water cannons to spray him and get their treasure back. Julianna left with gold coins and a diamond… and sported her bandana and eye patch everywhere we went for the rest of the day. Arg!
