There is nothing better than staying at a Disney hotel. Even if you’re not visiting the parks, I suggest staying at one.

If you are going to the parks, which you should, staying at a Disney hotel doesn’t only add to the experience, but it will save you so much time and stress.

1. The Disney Hotels

There are more than 25 resorts to choose from. Some are full on Disney themed, like Art of Animation. My kids loved this hotel because everywhere you go, you see a new Disney character or scenery. Even the rooms are Disney themed – The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, or Cars. One of the pools even plays Disney music under the water!

Then, there are the hotels that have a classic theme, like Port Orleans. This is where we stayed for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. The old Louisiana ambiance was so cool… and reminded me of the Princess and the Frog.

Regardless of which one you choose, it will be an experience like only Disney can deliver.

2. MagicBands

After you make your Disney hotel reservation, you’ll get to customize your MagicBands before they arrive at your home. You can pick the color and get your name on them.

Fun fact: This MagicBand will make your name magically appear on a tombstone on the Haunted Mansion ride at the Magic Kingdom.

It also does a lot more cool things like

• Unlock your Disney hotel room door
• Act as a ticket to enter all the Disney parks
• Act as a credit card to make purchases on Disney property – food, souvenirs, etc.
• Connect your PhotoPass account for easy to access viewing
• Check in at all your FastPass+ selections

3. The FastPass+

Oh, the fast pass. Imagine hitting up all the Disney parks and not waiting in line for your favorite rides. Sounds amazing right? Well, Disney makes that possible with the FastPass+.

All park attendees can book their FastPass+ selections 30 days before visiting the park, but if you book a Disney hotel reservation, you get to choose your FastPass+ selections 60 days before your visit.!

Why is this is so important? Because these picks fill up fast. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a new, popular ride so 30 days out, there may not be any available spots. Those extra days are huge!

4. More Time at the Parks

Yep, it’s true. When you stay at a Disney hotel, you can start your day at the Disney parks earlier than everyone else… and stay later. I know what you’re thinking:

“So that’s how those little girls were already made over at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique by 9am.”

I used to think the same thing.

5. Transportation and Parking

I hate paying for parking. I feel like if I’m going somewhere to spend money, you should let me park for free. Most hotels around Walt Disney World will charge you at least $20 to park your car for the night. If you stay at a Disney hotel, it’s free.

Not only is parking free, but Disney’s Magical Express Service takes you to the parks and Disney Springs for free… and it takes you door to door. No monorail ride or ferry boat ride needed.

Oh yeah, and if you fly into Orlando, it’ll take you to and from the airport at no additional charge!

I could go on and on, but you don’t have all day. Those are my five favorite perks of staying at a Disney hotel.
