A Palm Beach Wife was not on my long list of books to read, but I couldn’t resist the cover and the Palm Beach connection. (Yes, I judge a book by its cover.)
When I walked into Classic Bookshop in Palm Beach after a facial and asked the man behind the counter, Dan, for some recommendations, he suggested A Palm Beach Scandal. It’s the second in a series, so naturally, I had to read the first book, so I bought it!
It’s a great story that left me wanting to know how things transpired for the characters. At times, I hoped for a little more excitement and action, but this book had me traveling to the island to spend a day with my kids because of all the Palm Beach descriptions.

My Book Review for A Palm Beach Wife
A Palm Beach Wife is a cute, fun book.
The story flows well and it keeps you turning the pages to see what happens next, but it’s never Earth-shattering information or story-telling. The book seems to be written realistically so that could be the reason for the speed and pace of what happens and how it happens in the book.
Personally, I wanted to yell at Faith for the way she handled some situations, then yell at her husband. Then, I wanted to tell all those socialites who shun people for having less then they do a thing or two. Then, I remembered they are all fictional (even though I’m sure quite a few do really exist in Palm Beach).
At the end of the book, you get quite a shock. So, I looked at the next book in the series, A Palm Beach Scandal, but it does not appear to pick up where this one leaves off. In fact, the description mentions completely different characters so I’m left wondering… is that it?
My A Palm Beach Wife Book Recommendation
If you are based in South Florida, you will love this book because of the setting. As I said, it made me want to travel to the island while I was reading it… and I did! If you like designer clothes, expensive jewelry, and bask in the finer things in life, this one is up your alley too.
