Full disclosure: I’m not a fashion blogger. Sometimes I share my favorite fashion finds on Amazon and I post a video or two on YouTube, but I’m not a full-time fashion blogger, so I went to the experts to develop this list of the best cameras for fashion blogging.
Best Cameras for Fashion Blogging and Vlogging
Because Amazon is my jam, I’m including cameras you can find on Amazon and some other bonus equipment that comes highly recommended. Some of these are affiliate links.
1. Sony ZV-1 Camera for Content Creators
This is the go-to camera for bloggers in all niches who aren’t using their iPhones. This is great for still images and video because the viewfinder will flip around so you can see what you’re recording.
It will also autofocus so you or a product will be in focus while the background is blurred. You can quickly switch between two modes of defocused background from face to object. Face priority AE keeps faces bright in backlit or dim conditions.
It also comes with a rechargeable battery pack, Micro USB cable, windscreen, windscreen adaptor, and strap.
Bottom line: The is at the top of the best blogging cameras list because it’s so much more than a good camera… and is especially great for creating YouTube videos as arguably the best mirrorless camera for sale.
2. Canon EOS 70D Digital SLR Camera with Lens
This has full-frame sensors, up to 7 fps shooting, fast focus in live view and video, and an intelligent viewfinder with an electronic overlay.
Some other features include instant sharing, remote control with built-in Wi-Fi and EOS Remote app, the full manual mode in video, and a built-in stereo or external microphone terminal.

4. Fujifilm X-T20 Mirrorless Digital Camera with Lens
This great camera doesn’t only come with a lens, but it also has a tilting Touchscreen panel for operation at almost any angle. You can also output recorded video to an external monitor via the HDMI port and input audio from an external microphone.

6. Video Camera Camcorder with Night Vision and Handheld Stabilizer
With his camera, you can record while charging without a memory card. The handheld holder keeps the camera stable when recording. It’s ideal for making moving low-angle videos and images. It comes with a lens hood, external microphone, and remote control.
The camera comes with two batteries, one fully-charged battery that can be used for 90-150 minutes and is a favorite among a few professional photographers I spoke with.
7. Video Camera Camcorder with a Rotation Screen and Microphone
This video camera camcorder can also be used as a webcam to provide excellent quality video to stream on social media – Facebook, Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
The digital camera has a pause function. You can pause the video whenever you want and continue the recording without restarting a new file. The three-inch flip screen and self-timer function allow you to take selfies anytime, at any angle. The auto power-off feature helps you reduce power loss.
The vlogging camera also supports a standard tripod and external led fill light, which is great for fashion shows. These are not included, but I share my favorite tripod and lighting picks below.
8. Video Camera Camcorder with Night Vision and Remote Control
This night vision camcorder can shoot high-definition images and videos in low light conditions and even in darkness because the camera is compatible with external fill light to complement the light source.
It also supports the external microphone with a 3.5mm jack for clear audio recording and expandable storage with an SD card that stores up to 128GB.
Like the camera above, you can pause long video shooting at any point and continue from where you stopped without starting a new file. This camera also comes with a remote control where all the controls can be accessed through physical or remote controller buttons.
This digital camcorder supports video at a variety of intervals – low-speed video, motion detection, time-lapse, self-shooting, and continuous shooting.
9. Point and Shoot Camera with 3″ LCD Screen for Vlogging
This camera will give you great image quality, focal length, battery life, and camera body.
This blogging and vlogging camera can also be used as a webcam with wi-fi connectivity by connecting it to your computer, you can easily stream directly to YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, and it supports the pause function so you can continue the recording in the same file without restarting a new one – definitely a great choice for YouTubers or vloggers.
It has a built-in flashlight that can be turned on when you need it, which works perfectly to take clear photos in dark environments, but this feature is not supported in video mode.

This tripod is ah-ma-zing because it was made by creators for creators!
It was created by my mentor, Pat Flynn, to help content creators do something so simple that was a challenge for years – keep your phone on a level surface to take photos and videos.
I suggest splurging and getting the entire set – SwitchPod, ball head, and tripod adapter. When you bundle, you save $10 and go from $145 to $135.
Best Fashion Bloggers to Follow for Inspiration
I think if you’re going to work in the blogging, vlogging, or influencer marketing industry, it’s important to build relationships with and connect with fellow bloggers, vloggers, and influencers.
I created this list of bloggers based on what I like to see. Some of these content creators I know personally. Some I do not, but I like their content based on aesthetic, products they share, or even the way they interact with their community. If you think I should add some to my list, let me know!
I first heard of Lindsay Silberman from influencer mentor and author of the book Influencer, Brittany Hennessy. I like Lindsay for a few reasons:
- Brittany Hennessyused to work with influencers as the talent director at Hearst Magazine and she speaks volumes about the quality of work Lindsay delivers, so you know it’s good.
- Her pictures are beautiful.
- This one is the most important, in my opinion. She takes the time to chat with people who interact with her, built a Facebook community she’s active in, and doesn’t hold back in sharing what she’s doing to share what works for her and what doesn’t. For example, I once asked an Instagram influencer what app she used to edit her images. She didn’t want to tell me. Meanwhile, Lindsay created an entire reel about how she uses that same app. Lindsay just seems like a girls girl to me.

Erin at Cotton Stem
While I haven’t ever met or chatted with Erin before, I love her content. Not only are her images beautiful, but she is always in stories sharing what she’s doing in a very real way… and by real, I mean, no hair and makeup. I like to see that. And of course, her rustic decor gives me life.
One thing I love to learn from her is how she started and grew her blog and Instagram. She got on my radar in 2020, so I’m late to the Cotton Stem game, but as a business owner, I love to hear people’s journeys about how they build a successful business.

Jessica creates the coolest reels and is super helpful to creators in sharing her tips on taking pictures as well as posing in different places and with different looks.

What cameras are you liking and think I should add to the list? Do you prefer a Canon camera, a Nikon camera, or something else? Are you a beginner who just learned to get out of manual mode and figure out how to operate your shutter speed?
I’d also love to hear from more fashion photographers, so please comment here and let me know what equipment you’re using for portrait photography, what you think travel bloggers would love, interchangeable lenses that you have on regular rotation, tips on taking great photos in travel photography, and how you ensure you’re always taking high-quality images.
