Hands down, my Grandmami makes the best flan… ever. But she lives in Ohio, and I live in Florida. I’ve tried some restaurants down here, but they don’t even compare. Not to brag, but I don’t think my flan is too bad. (Better than the restaurants!) You should try it! Scroll down to see how it’s done. Yes, this is a flan recipe WITH CONDENSED MILK!
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can of evaporated milk
- 2 tsp. of vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Put the sugar in the baking dish you will use to make the flan. (I used a 9″ pie pan.) Heat the sugar on low heat, stirring occasionally, until it caramelizes
In a bowl, mix together the eggs, condensed milk, evaporated milk and vanilla extract
After the sugar is caramelized, remove it from heat and pour the egg/milk/vanilla mixture on top
Put that baking dish in a larger baking dish filled with water
Bake it for an hour… then, enjoy!
This looks so good! But it is on a level that I do not feel like putting out with that much effort to cook it ha ha I would rather eat yours.
Come over! I will share 🙂
Looks SO amazing! I want some! pinned!
