I can’t remember the last time I made something in the kitchen that my husband actually ate.
This recipe was a hit.
He ate three BBQ chicken sandwiches I made in the slow cooker!
Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Sandwiches
This is what you’ll need:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of Italian salad dressing
- 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- coleslaw
- hamburger buns
After you drop the chicken breasts in the slow cooker, make sure you coat them in the BBQ sauce and brown sugar.
Then, mix in the other add-ons and use a spoon to make sure the chicken breasts are covered.
I cooked this on low for six hours.
To shred the chicken, I used a fork and knife and kept it in the slow cooker as I was shredding it. By doing it this way, you will ensure all the chicken is covered in that sauce.
Serve it on a hamburger bun with coleslaw on the side… but my husband ended up putting it on his sandwich.
Enjoy 🙂
