“Ma, the meatloaf!”
We all have memories we associate with meatloaf. Whether it be your favorite Thanksgiving with family, friends, or even acquaintances, meatloaf is always there.
If you’ve never made meatloaf before because you’re used to someone else making it, but finally want to make it yourself, check out this meatloaf recipe.
- 1lb lean of ground beef
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup milk
Meatloaf Topping Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup ketchup
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, mix all of the meatloaf ingredients listed above, in order.
Grab the mixture and press it in an ungreased, 8×4 inch loaf pan.
Bake the mixture for 40 minutes.
Remove the meatloaf from the oven and spread 1/4 cup of ketchup evenly on top.
Bake the meatloaf again for an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it cool down for 10 minutes or so.
