If you’re a seafood lover and like eating different types of fish, chances are, tilapia may be one of your favorite fish in to eat. It’s flavorful, soft, and very appetizing. However, you may think that cooking a tilapia recipe is a bit complicated and difficult. Many food channels and networks show a hard and complex recipe for the delicious fish.
Look no further because I’m sharing my husband’s favorite tilapia recipe that is mouthwatering and easy to make.
What you need:
- 4 (4 ounces) tilapia fillets
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Salt and pepper to taste
What to do:
Start by rinsing the tilapia fillets in cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
Season both sides of each fillet with salt and pepper.
Add flour in a shallow dish and gently press each fillet into the flour to coat and shake off the excess flour.
In a skillet, heat olive oil on medium-high heat. When the oil starts to get hot, cook the tilapia in the hot oil until the fish flakes easily with a fork (this usually takes about four minutes per side).
When the tilapia is almost done, brush it with the melted butter one minute before removing it from the skillet.
Transfer the tilapia fillets to a plate and serve immediately. You can pair it with rice or vegetables.
